Ever since having my first child Daniella in July 2008 I had enjoyed planning kids’ events. My friends used to complain that they had no time and energy for their children’s birthday planning. And there I was looking for ideas and venues at least seven to eight months before Daniella’s birthday!

When I wanted to try it as a business my husband Clinton and my friends were all very supportive – I had nothing to lose. Besides, no-one would have hired me for a corporate job since I was going to have a baby in a few months.

And that’s how it began: creating a website, a Facebook page and later an Instagram (my favourite) account plus learning to work on Photoshop and building up a network of reliable entertainers and suppliers. As the business expanded I began to buy equipment like jumping castles, water slides, soft serve machines, cars for deliveries etc. I started hiring staff and here I am now, working from home, still seeing my children during the day and arranging super parties for children all over Joburg and Pretoria. It’s fantastic to make kids and parents smile and nothing makes me happier about my job than receiving positive feedback after a successful party.

 

I attend plenty of parties myself as a guest and this allows me to stay tuned for trends and new themes. It helps me stay in touch with the industry and understand exactly what parents expect and require when having a party.

 

I try to keep prices affordable and I understand that no matter what a person’s income is, their love for their children is immense and they want to make the party very special.
