Ever since my daughter Daniella was born in 2008, I had been obsessed with planning children's parties. While my friends joked that they barely had the time or energy to organise a birthday celebration, I was happily researching themes, venues and ideas seven or eight months in advance!

So I decided to turn my passion into a business.

I built a website, started a Facebook page (and later Instagram, which quickly became my favourite), and slowly began building relationships with entertainers, suppliers and venues that I knew I could trust. Little by little, Wild Childs grew.

As the years went by, I invested in more equipment, expanded our range of jumping castles, water slides, soft play, party hire equipment and entertainment, hired an incredible team, and built a business I'm genuinely proud of.

Today, more than 13 years later, Wild Childs has helped create thousands of happy memories for families across Johannesburg and Pretoria. Although the business has grown tremendously, one thing has never changed — I still get excited about every party we help bring to life.

​

One of my favourite parts of this job is hearing from happy parents after a successful party. Knowing that we've helped make a child's special day even more memorable makes all the hard work worthwhile.

​

I also attend plenty of children's parties myself (this time as a guest!), which helps me keep up with new themes, products and trends. It means we're always looking for fresh ideas and continually adding exciting new equipment to our range.

As a parent myself, I understand that every family has a budget. I also know that, regardless of what that budget is, every parent wants to give their child a birthday they'll remember.
